An Established Family Business
Border Hardwood Limited was formed in June 2001. Originally incorporated by David and Anne Bevan-Jones. David had a vast experience within the trade, spanning back to 1964. His Father Eric Bevan-Jones owned Llangadog sawmills in South Wales.
Charlie Bevan-Jones was appointed as secretary on the 1st June 2003, and appointed as a director on 22nd April 2004. Charlie bought the company at the end of 2004.

The company has evolved hugely over the last 2 decades, from a small Oak merchant nestled in North Shropshire. To the largest European Oak stockist in the country. With over 25 members of dedicated staff working solely in the pursuit of importing, delivering, grading and supply of high quality European Oak.
With hundreds of products available. Border Hardwood supply every European Oak product from Oak flooring to Oak frames. One of the few remaining merchant who trade and stock large volumes of waney edged boules/logs. Through and through sawn production is a large part of the business. The state of the art mill allows in house milling, cutting and machining. This allows the production and quality to be controlled in house. Two new Hundegger machines allows sectional machining of up to 350×300. With newly installed 6 head moulder and spindle moulders operated by experienced machinists insuring high quality profiling on site. Operated 4 band saws converted Air dried beams and Fresh sawn beams, with dedicated quality control personnel and highly experience sales teams Border Hardwood is the leading Oak supplier in the UK.

Border Hardwood Limited annually donates/supports various charitable causes.
This is a developing part of the business – currently we are looking into the development of a foundation specifically supporting the education and support for Asthma sufferers. We also support charities involved with all aspects in relation to young people.
