We pride ourselves on the quality of our Oak firewood and have a comprehensive quality control throughout the process.
Like all Oak Sawmills Border Hardwood produce hundreds of tons of Oak waste every year. With the fall off of the logs we process this into split firewood and deliver the logs within Shropshire and Chester.
With the huge increase of the cost of energy in recent years we have seen a large increase in Oak Logs sales.
With the smaller waste components we chip the waste which fuels the kilns to dry the Oak firewood. The Oak is certified PEFC or FSC before it is processed so the end product is a very environmentally friendly option to alternative suppliers.

The Oak firewood is metered to ensure it is not above 15-18% moisture content.
All Firewood logs are certified within the “Ready To Burn” scheme
