The main and most popular European hardwood species are –Ash, Beech, Elm, Chestnut, Yew, Walnut and Sycamore.
European Ash mainly is used for furniture and internal finished such as Skirting board and architrave. Beech is milled in many different grades and is used for a variety of end users from internal frames, painted finishes and garden sleepers.
Elm, Yew, Walnut and Sycamore mainly is used for feature work such as tables tops and internal feature work.
We stock large volumes of seasoned air dried and fresh sawn chestnut which mainly is used in the Chestnut cladding market.
